Return Eligibility
To be eligible for a return, your item must meet the following conditions:
Eligible for Return:
- Products that are damaged during delivery
- Products that are defective or spoiled
- Wrong items delivered (different from what was ordered)
- Products with broken seals or leaking bottles upon delivery
- Products that are past their expiration date at time of delivery
Not Eligible for Return:
- Products with broken seals after delivery (unless damaged during delivery)
- Products consumed or partially consumed
- Change of mind or personal preference
- Products purchased during special promotions (unless defective)
- Gift cards or promotional vouchers
Important: Due to the nature of alcoholic beverages and health regulations, we cannot accept returns of opened or consumed products unless they were damaged or defective upon delivery.
Return Timeframe
You have 7 calendar days from the date of delivery to initiate a return for eligible items.
Timeline:
- Day 0: Product delivered
- Day 1-7: Inspection period - Report any issues immediately
- Day 7: Last day to initiate return request
- After Day 7: Return requests will not be accepted
Tip: We recommend inspecting your order immediately upon delivery and reporting any issues within 24 hours for faster resolution.
How to Initiate a Return
Follow these simple steps to return an eligible product:
Share your order number, product details, and reason for return with photos if applicable
Our team will review your request and provide a return authorization within 24 hours
We'll schedule a pickup at your convenience or provide return shipping instructions
Refund Process
Once your return is received and inspected, we will process your refund according to the following guidelines:

Refund Options: You can choose to receive your refund via the original payment method, bank transfer, or as store credit with an additional 5% bonus value.
Exchanges
We offer exchanges for damaged or defective products. If you'd like to exchange an item for the same product:
- Contact us within 7 days of delivery
- We'll arrange pickup of the defective item
- A replacement will be shipped at no additional cost
- Exchange processing typically takes 3-5 business days
If the exact product is out of stock, we'll offer a full refund or a similar alternative.
Shipping Costs
We Cover Shipping When:
- Product is damaged or defective
- Wrong item was delivered
- Product quality issue
- Our error in any form
You Cover Shipping When:
- Change of mind (if accepted)
- Ordered wrong product
- No longer needed
- Any non-defect related return
Damaged During Delivery
If your product arrives damaged:
- Do not accept the delivery if visible damage is apparent
- Take photos of the damaged packaging and product immediately
- Contact us within 24 hours at +234 818 495 5868
- Send photos to returns@barrelsandcellars.ng
- We'll process a replacement or full refund immediately
Non-Delivery
If your order was not delivered:
- Contact us immediately if your order doesn't arrive within the estimated delivery time
- We'll track your shipment and investigate with our logistics partner
- If the package is confirmed lost, we'll issue a full refund or send a replacement
- Refund/replacement will be processed within 3-5 business days of confirmation
Special Conditions
Products purchased as gifts can be returned following the same policy. The refund will be issued to the original purchaser's payment method or as a gift card for the recipient.
Items purchased during sales or promotions can only be returned if they are damaged or defective. All other returns are subject to our standard policy.
